The Centre for International Affairs and Strategic Futures(CIASF)

Vision

The Centre for International Affairs and Strategic Futures examines the forces shaping how nation-states behave, make decisions, and project influence in an increasingly complex global system. Grounded in the understanding that power struggles are universal and enduring, the Centre analyses how states pursue security, economic leverage, strategic advantage, and the shaping of narratives under evolving conditions, including defence, governance, trade, cyberspace, and emerging technologies. Recognising that modern conflicts extend beyond traditional domains, the Centre also studies the strategic role of narratives in shaping perception, legitimacy, and decision-making. By examining the intersection of disinformation, misinformation, and digitally amplified influence accelerated by AI, social media, and other emerging technologies it explores how identity, emotion, and technology interact with statecraft and global power dynamics. Bridging historical insight with contemporary analysis, the Centre provides evidence-based perspectives to strengthen policy, resilience, and ethical responses. Its interdisciplinary research supports policymakers, institutions, and civil society in navigating an era where influence is exercised through both material power and the human mind, ultimately promoting stability and informed strategic action in a contested international environment.
